I'm a software developer and a passionate cruise traveler. The idea for Meet2Trip was born on a cruise: my wife and I were standing at the port, looking for other passengers to share a taxi to the sights. The organized shore excursions were too expensive for us, and taking a taxi on our own wasn't cheap either. But we couldn't find anyone with the same plans, so we ended up going by ourselves and paying much more than necessary.
That's when it dawned on us: many travelers are in the same situation. Often several guests from the same ship want to visit the same places but simply don't know about each other. So why not simply share a taxi, split a rental car, or book a private guide together?
Since there was no suitable platform for this, I built Meet2Trip - a free platform where cruisers from all over the world can post their planned shore excursions and find fellow passengers to join them. This makes it easy to split the costs with others.
